I'm not a Walburg fan so that maybe how I missed this movie until now. I truly enjoyed it! I love the 80's Rock. Many of the songs reminded me of AC/DC style. 1 of theirs is on the soundtrack. Great job! 🎹🎤🎼🎸

It looks like a good movie. Not just because Jennifer A. is in it.

This movie is so awesome I live how he really gos from rags to riches n back again so to speak

Looking for the soundtrack. Loved the movie. Interesting wigs. I can't believe that was Timothy Olyphant. Huge fan of Mark Walberg and Jennifer Aniston (I'm Team Jennifer)!

Horrible acting

While not particularly original, if you are a fan of rock music like myself you'll probably like this. Based on the true story of Tim "Ripper" Owens, the man who replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest, the movies explores the cliches and stereotypes of eighties heavy metal. The plot line is pretty predictable (guy dreams of making it big as a lead singer, joins the band he's loved all his life, finds out he's being used and what he thought he wanted wasn't what he wanted at all, and realizes the moral of the story is to be yourself); any guitarist could have written it. Mark Wahlberg did a great job as Chris Cole, and many real life rock stars are featured, such as Zakk Wylde, Eddie Vedder and Jason Bohnam. The soundtrack is great, too. Overall, this film isn't a masterpiece but pretty good.

Not a bad story, and it kept me interested.

I love this movie I love it :) <3

Hilarious yet very great underlying themes. Mark wahlberg is amazing

As a fan of 80's speed metal and hair metal I love this movie, it's all about the hedonistic belief in sex, drugs and rock n roll (and what sacrifices one has to make following that lifestyle). What makes this film great is the score, they really did well creating the songs for the fictional band Steel Dragon, so much so that they could stand up next to other songs in the same veign. For those who want the songs there is the Rock Star soundtrack (iTunes doesn't carry it and I believe it is out of print so you may have to do some searching) or you can't purchase the Steel Dragon album "Lubricator" (also not on iTunes and is even harder to find than the Rock Star soundtrack).
