I am an American and if this represents English TV, I much prefer it. Louissa is such a loveable character and DocM is so frustratingly and precisely and practically correct in all matters, but without any capacity for emotion, that the resulting paradoxes are the extremes in humor and sadness. The show is really about his struggle to overcome himself and love her.
Can the man get any more dour??

BORING, slow, no chemistry between the characters. Missed a season and decided to check out a current episode. Reminds me of some VERY TIRED WRITERS. What was funny about the Doc is now sheer pathology.

The Doc is just so cut and dry in this drama slash comedy. Great show for the whole family.
