NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 42.73 crore), Eternal(numbers of share traded: 22.47 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 15.99 crore), Godha Cabcon & Insul(numbers of share traded: 13.99 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 12.58 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.90 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 7.20 crore), Apollo Micro Systems(numbers of share traded: 5.77 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.38 crore) and Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 3.74 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 174.96 points down at 24826.2, while BSE Sensex ended down 624.82 points at 81551.63.
On the other hand, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.30 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.62 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
